I’ve worked with diverse teams, organisations & groups, providing consulting services that support in managing change, working through conflict & developing capacity. My consulting approach is rooted in a collaborative, process-oriented methodology, offering tailored solutions; enabling personal, professional & organisational development.
How I work: Understanding the Challenge
I begin by working closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of the challenges or difficulties they face. This involves exploring the context and history of the issue, identifying key stakeholders and their perspectives and analysing the systemic factors at play
Collaboration & Structure Design
Once we have a clear picture of the situation, I collaborate with clients to create the framework for tailored interventions. This ensures organisation’s unique context is central to the process, the intervention is aligned with the client’s goals and values but also practical and implementable within the existing structure.
I am particularly interested in the following and pay attention to nuances in understanding and communication of these factors:
Understanding and defining of roles within organisations
Primary responsibilities and objectives
Examining power dynamics and decision-making processes
The defining and understanding of managing professional limits and interfaces
The interventions I design typically include space for consideration of these dynamics.
Focus on Communication & Relationships
At the core of my approach is a strong emphasis on communication and relationships. I believe that many organisational challenges stem from or are exacerbated by communication issues and relational dynamics. I hope to help clients understand and work with the emotional aspects of organisational, team and group life. My interventions therefore often involve examining communication, exploring and enhancing key relationships within the organisation, alongside facilitating dialogue between different parts of the system.
Review & Evaluation
Consulting and organisational development interventions end with an opportunity for review, an evaluation of effectiveness and are tailored to support inclusion of all stakeholders.
My approach is inherently flexible, allowing me to respond to emerging needs and insights as the work progresses. I believe in creating a containing environment where exploration, learning, and change can occur organically. I help organisations not only address their immediate challenges but also develop the capacity for ongoing development and ability to respond to dilemmas.
